Whoopi Goldberg defended Michael Vick’s role in dogfighting on The View. She is quoted as saying:
“He’s from the South, from the Deep South … This is part of his cultural upbringing,”
May I point out that in her own lifetime, racism was part of many white people’s cultural upbringings? So was owning slaves. Neither of those is something she would defend, I’m sure!
Shame on you, Whoopi!

The Age is reporting today that Halle Berry has finally confirmed, via email to Access Hollywood, that she is three months pregnant.
The father is her boyfriend of almost two years, model Gabriel Aubry.
This puts to rest the baby rumours that have been circulating.

A pipe bomb exploded outside Studio Dante, owned by Sopranos star Michael Imperioli, around 1 a.m.Tuesday morning. A van was damaged but there were no serious injuries.
Police are unsure if the studio itself had been targeted. No threats had been made to Imperioli or the studio.

The director of Malawi’s Child Welfare Svcs., Penstone Kilembe, is accused of attempting to obtain more money from Madonna. He has been removed from the case and the country’s chief social welfare officer will now make the trip himself.
Naturally, Kilembe denies the accusation.

Makes sense to me. Well, no, not really.
Malawian officials allegedly have ok’d Madonna to adopt a 13 month old named Mercy. They still haven’t cleared her to adopt David though.
The adoption has been met with roadblocks, but next week an Malawian official is visiting the star’s London home for a week, to determine if the arrangement is suitable for David.
