Jennifer Hudson’s family has established a charity fund in the wake of the horrific triple murders of her mother, brother, and nephew.

The Hudson-King Foundation’s purpose is “to to care for the needs of families who have lost relatives to a violent crime. This encompasses their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter, as well as grief counseling.”

Oh God I hope this isn’t true.  PLEASE god let it be false.  The TV show that no one would’ve dared dream up has apparently BEEN dreamt up…

Scandalist is posting that the three trainwrecks may appear together in (of all things) a sitcom.

Um, couldnt they just put the three of them toghether (Real World or Big Brother style) and get the same laughs?

Matt Lauer and Tom Cruise, Booster Seats and Spaceships galore

Matt Lauer was the one to get roasted last week, but he managed a few good cracks at everyone’s (not-so) favorite Scientologist, Tom Cruise.  After Cruise’s less-than-surprising surprise appearance (it was leaked on the net before the event), he closed by saying he couldn’t believe he flew all the way there for someone who’s neither the most interesting nor the smartest person on TV. “Lose my number, you glib putz. Cruise out.”

To which Lauer retorted, ‘Can you stay?  We’ll get you a booster seat!’  Cruise is supposedly more than a little sensitive about his height–or, ahem, lack thereof.

Roastmaster Al Roker concluded the impromptu Cruise mini-roast with a comment that Cruise couldn’t stay as his spaceship was waiting.

At the event Matt was gifted with a box of Gurkha Black Dragon Tubos Cigars (www.gurkhacigars.com). He can now say he has something in common with Matt McConaughey and Tyson Beckford, who also enjoy Gurkhas!

Gale Harold to go home

It’s being reported that Gale harold will be released from hospital on halloween!  He’s looking at a 6-8 week recovery time for his shoulder but it looks like all else is good!

Hudson’s nephew confirmed killed, second person may be involved

Police have confirmed that the body of a 7 year old boy found in the vehicle associated with Julian King’s Amber Alert is indeed the nephew of singer-actress Jennifer Hudson.

Police are questioning if William Balfour, being held for parole violations from a 1999 attempted murder conviction and the prime suspect in the triple murders, is the only person involved.

Jennifer Hudson has ID’d her family’s bodies, according to Cook County (Ill) Medical Examiner’s office.  Her mother Darnell and brother Jason were shot and killed for unknown reasons a couple days ago, and her 7 year old nephew Julian King is missing and has been presumed kidnapped.  An Amber Alert was issued, and the FBI are involved (the link goes to Julian’s Amber Alert page and contains a photo and vital information.  If you’re in the Illinois area, PLEASE look).

The prime suspect in the killings, William Balfour, has been taken into custody for undisclosed parole violations, but the investigation is ongoing.

Wino back in rehab?

Apparently Amy Wino Winehouse is back in rehab in an attempt to stave off an arrest for failure to comply with police and turn up for an interview in connection with her alleged attack on a woman at a London charity event in September.

As sad as it is to say, I really don’t see her cleaning up–I see her going the way of Kurt Cobain.

Baby Mama a new mama!

Congrats to Amy Poehler and Will Arnett on the birth of their baby boy Archie Arnett!  Amy, who worked until the day before Archie made an appearance, missed Saturday episode of SNL because she’d just safely brought Archie into the world.  Archie weighs 8lb 1oz (3.6kg) and both mama and little one are healthy and resting.

Johnny Depp: Taking “Mad” Hatter to new levels

Well… normally when one says they’ll eat their hat… well, they WON’T.  But Johnny, playing the Mad Hatter in a Tim Burton production of Alice in Wonderland, actually chowed down on the not-edible object.  I suppose that’s one way to get your daily dose of, uh, *cough* fiber?

Clear the roadways in Clearwater!

Nick (Bollea) Hogan is out of jail!  I’m sure it won’t be long until he’s speeding up the streets again.

His mother Linda says that Nick went into prison as a juvenile and has experienced something that will mold and affect him for the rest of his adult life.

Right… that’s why so many juveniles never go back to jail again as adults.  Oh… wait… Hmm… How’s that go again?

Um… OCD much, Shan?

Starpulse reports that Shannen Doherty has such issues with germs that if a guest (romantic ones included) use the ‘wrong’ bathroom in her house, she won’t even wait for him to finish his business before dragging him out of the room.

Says the OCD one: “I go in there, grab his arm, and, like, drag him out, mid-piss.”

Hmm, seems that might be a way to spread the germs around, oh wise one.

Hmm… “two” weird

So Shanna Moakler, Travis Barker’s on-off-on-off-again ex claims that she had a bad feeling about the flight that left four dead and Travis and DJ AM severely injured.

At the same time, DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) has revealled that doctors discovered a blood clot in his body that, had the flight been successful, may have travelled and killed him.

I’ll put more stock in that than in the ‘premonition’ but hey, who knows–stranger things have happened.

Still dancing!

Rocco DiSpirito may no longer be Dancing With the Stars, but he’s still dancing!  This past weekend at the NYC Food & Wine Festival he had a ball with the Evian models.

Gale Harold “Improving” after accident

I have to admit, I was more than a little freaked and upset about Gale’s motorcycle accident.  I’ve loved him since I saw him on Queer as Folk, although by virtue of not having cable, haven’t seen him in his DH role.  But medical professionals indicate he’ll recover fully and is awaiting transfer from LA County-USC Medical Ctr to Cedars-Sinai once a bed opens up there for him.

I think this is grounds for divorce in some states…

Katie Holmes was spotted after the premiere of her Broadway show (in which her acting received mixed reviews) looking less than her usual hawt self in NYC.  My only guess is that Tom wasn’t home to stop her from walking out the door, because no self respecting gay man *cough* would let a woman out in those clothes
