Eurgh, ANOTHER remake!

Posted by gnn1 on Wednesday, 15 August 2007

Why can’t they just leave movies alone?  Okay, okay, not ALL remakes suck, but a lot do.

Anyways, they’re remaking Escape from New York which came out 26 years ago (holy crap…) and starred Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken.  Now Gerard Butler is going to be Snake…

Director Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard) is negotiating to direct it.

Im sure Butler will do just fine. With all of the Hype over this movie beening remade.People are going to go and see it just to find out how well he did. When butler play’s the lead role in a movie he does very well.escape is a classic. My children dont like classic’s they say that their old movies. And remakes get down to a teen’s level. So that way parents and their children can watch movies as a family. And Im sure im not the only parent who’s teen feel that way.Butler came out from no where with 300 and showed power and a gentle side. He’s good at what he goes and that’s acting.I would not be surprised if escape out does 300 because of all the hype about the movie.Hollywood knows what sell’s and now butler sell’s.You give him a lead role and he will take it and run with it.No matter all of the talk about him not being will go see the movie for the power, and american women love accents. This just might be his best film yet.
