Seacrest…IN–for the Super Bowl

Posted by gnn1 on Thursday, 16 August 2007

What do American Idol and the Super Bowl have in common?  Well, aside from some good (and cheesy) musical acts.

Ryan Seacrest.

The Idol host has been tapped to host the halftime show, and also interview celebs showing up for the game.

The entertainment industry’s trade paper, The Daily Variety has suggested that it may be an attempt

to increase entertainment quotient to bring in non-football fans and increase already massive viewership.

Apparently the networks cares about halftime viewership separately from game viewership?  *shrugs*  I don’t watch; I hate American football.

The Super Bowl airs in just about six months–3 February 2008 in Glendale, Arizona.
